Liquid Scintillation

Liquid scintillation is a measurement technique used to determine contaminations  from beta or alpha emitting  radionuclides. This technique has the advantage of being able to determine and measure pure beta-emitting radionuclides and low energy beta radionuclides, also with high detection efficiency.

The samples to be measured must first undergo radiochemical treatment.

L.B. servizi for companies can offer a full, state-of-the-art liquid  scintillation measurement service: from the smear test to check for the presence of 3H, to cements or land to measure 3H,55Fe,63Ni,90Sr up to the ACCREDIA accredited measurements for measuring radioactivity in water destined for human consumption.

Latest generation and low background instrumentation combined with the staff’s experience guarantees rapid results, compliant with legal detection limits.
